CTL-OP 109 Laboratory Procedure For Acceptance of Thermocouple Wire

PROCEDURES
1 c. m& E' ?/ L; G7 L9 l t4.1 Thermocouples shall be prepared by staff trained in preparation of thermocouples.
7 ?; C# K5 }; m: j& z4 G4.2 Thermocouples are to be prepared as noted:' H& q5 r: H; C( z
4.2.1 Inner insulation stripped back approximately 1.5 mm from tip.
5 K j& K+ k4 R4.2.2 Outer insulation, if any, stripped back approximately 15 mm from tip.
5 Y! Z7 P6 |% S$ D( ~4.2.3 The tip is to be joined by a single point weld. Other reliable and consistent methods of joining the thermocouple wires may be used upon prior acceptance of the CTL. $ T8 n2 C/ ^( I9 M2 o
