CTL-OP 109 Laboratory Procedure For Acceptance of Thermocouple Wire

PROCEDURES
8 z+ u. _- j( E4.1 Thermocouples shall be prepared by staff trained in preparation of thermocouples.- z" R S1 o( I( X5 ^! f
4.2 Thermocouples are to be prepared as noted:
6 Q: z; p6 f' g4.2.1 Inner insulation stripped back approximately 1.5 mm from tip.4 u& P6 H! P( \7 G8 B" e7 n* L
4.2.2 Outer insulation, if any, stripped back approximately 15 mm from tip.
+ F( t" u" r% _4.2.3 The tip is to be joined by a single point weld. Other reliable and consistent methods of joining the thermocouple wires may be used upon prior acceptance of the CTL. ) o, A; Q+ g0 J. Y0 ^4 [
