The appropriate lamp associated to the ballast shall provide the necessary light output after

The rated (V1) and the minimum (Vmin) voltages as declared by the ballast manufacturer are0 P4 d# j/ d4 L2 p: C
retained for the EBLF measurement. In this case the Vmin value is taken to be 0,85 times the

manufacturer.

having not been lit for 24 , first at V1 after 5 s and 60 s of the application of the d.c. voltage,: J& l( h N0 u# I0 X$ W
then in steady conditions at Vmin.

be retained and shall reach at least the declared EBLF.
0 c' J7 S0 I: \8 uThe value measured at 5 s and V1 shall reach at least 50 % of declared EBLF.- t; R4 _2 C) D
NOTE Replace 60 s by 0,5 s for ballasts declared for use in luminaires for high-risk task area lighting.
* m( J" I4 o4 x A# nAs declared EBLF must be reached after 0,5 s, measurements at 5 s are not considered.
3 z T+ _' E. A: d3 \4 LAny test circuit corresponding to that of Figure 1 can be used to make the measurement of EBLF. The luminous flux of a lamp is usually measured with an integrating photometer. For ratio measurements of luminous fluxes, a suitable illuminance meter is sufficient as there is a close relationship between luminous flux and illumination at a fixed point.' U( r/ v$ o+ ]/ ]7 a
NOTE Other methods may apply for determining EBLF in particular methods which record permanently the luminous flux of the lamp associated to the ballast under test.
