assembled at off-site locations and intended for use as factory
0 H$ h; n: x- E* L& ~7 jinstalled components at an end-product manufacturing facility. They+ Z4 A% L* Z! Q1 |4 G( |: U( n* y
are defined as components consisting of two or more wires joined' p+ G) q3 z. V% ]- W! |
electrically and/or mechanically, and may include connectors, plugs, L- @9 C$ b8 o3 d0 Y
strain reliefs, splices, etc. When assembled at an off-site location,

be used to provide this traceability. Each wiring harness is normally* U; S- l r3 j: v* @
constructed in accordance with a harness diagram and is generally! K9 r7 u6 G3 [1 v6 H
designed for a specific application that is indicated on a diagram
- x9 F5 }3 F) D4 }or carton marking. These wiring harnesses are not intended for
2 F4 J5 Z3 ]4 |1 K* Q' Jfield installation. An assembly consisting solely of a cord set, power
6 Y) f2 Z7 e0 B4 tsupply cord or power supply cord attached to an appliance such as5 } X3 B% C2 q8 O) h7 m5 p
a motor is not eligible for coverage under this program.

- e$ G1 m; U# D: e% k" IAn off-site fabricator assembles a wiring harness in accordance with# ?3 r0 e$ \; r6 G+ _! _
a harness diagram, print or other specification from an end-product7 L1 ^0 _1 j: }4 y. `
manufacturer that details construction elements and components: B6 D: P7 M9 g( P* s
to be used in assembling a harness. A harness manufacturer% C: u; y/ |8 Z+ i8 g; U
will assemble a harness in accordance with these specifications
