Overcharging of a rechargeable battery. The battery is charged under each of the
following conditions in turn.

from the charger (without simulation of faults), whichever is the higher attainable

+ [- n  d8 R/ f- z! `3 V$ s• The battery charging circuit is adjusted, with the battery disconnected, to 100 % of the
: _. i, Y  m. ^% J6 ]rated output voltage of the charger. The battery is charged while briefly subjected to
6 y- G& T6 ]2 z3 y& j1 sthe simulation of any single component failure that is likely to occur in the charging
circuit and that results in overcharging of the battery. To minimize testing time, the
3 M9 p* v9 f( ]9 S( _* s" ?" u- b8 _failure is chosen that causes the highest overcharging current. The battery is then
charged for a single period of 7 h with that simulated failure in place.

这个测试对于可充电电池来说，是要在饱和状态下做的。
