User manual shall give a adequate safety instruction for hot surfaces above 70 °C (limit for parts touched during adjustment according to EN 60598-1, clause 12.4).

The limit applies for accidentally contacted surfaces of all materials, that can be in contact with test probe IP1X (50 mm sphere according to EN 60529, Table 6, 1A).

It is recommended to refer manufacturers of luminaires to the ongoing CENELEC project for creating a Guide regarding hot surfaces (CLT/BTTF 120-1 SURFACE TEMPERATURES): It is supposed that this EK1 decision has to be adapted after publication of the Guide. |
