If an appliance consists of a part of class III construction and a detachable power supply

7 Marking and instructions% W* G* }, I2 Y: [
7.1 Replace the last dashed item in the first paragraph by the following:
( L% u9 m6 t1 V; R: R3 ]– symbol IEC 60417-5180 (2003-02), for class III appliances. This marking is not
! g& m  f; t$ Y! L) J% w, F& ~necessary for appliances operated only by batteries (primary batteries or secondary
7 l3 @- ~, Y6 y' Pbatteries recharged outside of the appliance) or appliances powered by rechargeable
/ t5 e+ V8 ^: w/ k1 g% f; {  ~8 `batteries recharged in the appliance.

7.12.9 For each language, the instructions specified in 7.12 and from 7.12.1 to 7.12.8 shall

They may follow the description of the appliance that identifies parts, or follow the

If a single switching action is obtained by a switching device, the switching device shall

13 Leakage current and electric strength at operating temperature
/ o. ~* c4 h/ r13.2 Replace the first paragraph by the following:
- t* j. Y) x% X7 ~6 D; |- a0 jThe leakage current is measured by means of the circuit described in Figure 4 of
0 s- [; {) o5 J% ?5 yIEC 60990:1999. For class 0I appliances and class I appliances, except parts of class II( ?) f+ c* r" d. ~/ y
construction, C may be replaced by a low impedance ammeter responding to the rated
4 O" n+ p( J: ?6 I" qfrequency of the appliance.3 {* j0 S! ]( s( l6 Q* s: a" ^
19 Abnormal operation# u: B: j( P/ z
19.1 Add the following to the penultimate paragraph of the test specification:
) Y, F3 p& Q: d: e% ?If the control performs more than one function, only that aspect of the control under: P  w% @* L9 s1 j
consideration is rendered inoperative. Other functions of the control may continue to operate
7 T6 {/ q$ n' o- E* T( tnormally.
0 T0 N8 a8 n# ^  s/ d  K2 ]- c4 X& i19.7 In the third paragraph of the test specification, replace “class P2” by “class S2 or S3”.
; W( o3 T( w3 H: Y& b19.11.3 Replace the text of the test specification but not the note, by the following.
& ^6 j4 r9 G( n9 u/ X0 HIf the appliance incorporates a protective electronic circuit that operates to ensure
- F+ a: w5 {& c" P* D  s( j, B2 ^compliance with Clause 19, the appliance is tested as follows:
5 s# R* Z& V3 @* F; d9 Q, m2 AA fault as indicated in a) to g) of 19.11.2 shall be incorporated in the protective electronic5 e) P' j' S% i) M% p
circuit either before the appliance is started or at any point in time after the appliance is
4 |7 |- x7 N; ?6 [, H" h" m* t4 qstarted so that the most unfavourable conditions of the test are applied.: s' L( f1 _  d: T4 u4 c
If the appliance is able to operate after the fault in the protective electronic circuit is
+ k3 ~, x1 Z' z" o6 G. C# A" _incorporated, then the appliance is further tested as follows.
' p. G1 `! f. H4 q2 e: WFor appliances for continuous operation the appliance is operated until steady conditions are  P/ K% V) t: B3 Y7 J" ]* ]& n. r
reached. Then the relevant test of Clause 19 is repeated.
- s3 `: Z0 r7 B) |Other appliances are operated for one cycle of operation. Then the relevant test of Clause 195 U; p% L* Q  f
is repeated.; t; _! j5 B' W% n1 ^# b
19.11.4.2 Replace the test specification but not the note, by the following:
' e. G+ E5 K7 vThe appliance is subjected to radiated fields in accordance with IEC 61000-4-3.( K6 q# K. O. x5 V) q
The frequency ranges tested shall be:
. @9 K( ~, z# N* U' w5 F9 I7 }2 j+ W– 80 MHz to 1 000 MHz, test level 3;, `6 C5 \* T' H* m
– 1,4 GHz to 2,0 GHz, test level 3;
/ k% L* U' s- [– 2,0 GHz to 2,7 GHz, test level 2.
