Compliance is checked by subjecting the relevant part to the ball pressure test of# q5 s. s& x* O' u9 X1 k
IEC 60695-10-2.
9 q" s1 d- c, w o. YThe test is carried out at a temperature of 40 °C ± 2 °C plus the maximum temperature rise- `/ i' `5 R' c$ p2 N
determined during the test of clause 11, but it shall be at least

However, for parts of thermoplastic material providing supplementary insulation or* y5 B% v* u3 Q; R& y( c+ z; k
reinforced insulation, the test is carried out at a temperature of 25 °C ± 2 °C plus the
9 L8 E$ Q* b4 s# b4 smaximum temperature rise determined during the tests of clause 19, if this is higher. The
+ j2 |* f) f5 ltemperature rises of 19.4 are not taken into account provided that the test is terminated by
( v/ C5 k. E$ \the operation of a non-self-resetting protective device and it is necessary to remove a0 N3 s# B# W/ `+ s; C
cover or use a tool to reset it.$ n+ x; r5 y" l# K) Q* ^
NOTE 1 For coil formers, only those parts that support or retain terminals in position are subjected to the test.
