- D5 G1 ?& C6 m* v; ~A UL 1283 capacitor is normally approved for us in an "across the line" application. Depending on the end product Standards though, that would dictate if a UL 1283 capacitor is suitable. For example, if the end product Standard is UL 60065 then that Standard would require either a UL 1414 or 60384-14 capacitor and would not normally accept a UL 1283 Recognized capacitor to be used.

/ R2 G5 C/ {9 m/ Z5 a5 P# jHave the capacitor supplier provide you with their UL 1283 ratings (voltage, temperature) along with the conditions of acceptability from the UL Report. That would provide you with more information to verify if use of that capacitor is suitable. Compare that against what the UL end product standard for the appliances will be.
