In fact, both the UK and Franch are the members of EU. Hence, French should accept the EN standard because the EN standard is published by the European Union. Normally, the EN version is printed in English. BSEN standard is printed by the UK government. And, NFEN standard is printed by French government.

No matter the BSEN standard or NFEN standard, they are based on the EN standard. Perhaps, you may take BSEN, NFEN and EN are more or less the same. However, the EU also allows his member country to add his own national deviations onto the EN standard.
