granted. The first character is defined in Article 9. The

regard to the test mode defined in Annex III, section 3.6.. `7 l. E; t5 ~$ a
Section 3: the number of the latest amending Directive applicable to the4 N1 }1 f4 ~! u
approval. If applicable two further alphabetical characters are
% p8 J6 r- b6 p" ato be added depending on the conditions described in section
/ m- N# V3 y3 P5 m, `! }1 C4 F3 b+ ?2, even if as a result of the new parameters only one of the
0 c7 n2 y, y( G f1 ?characters was to be changed. If no change of these characters9 V+ T, n* n2 [
apply they shall be omitted.: c8 c' T7 O4 I
Section 4: a four-digit sequential number (with leading zeros as5 O% ~( b* ~& S- b4 } k v
applicable) to denote the base approval number. The3 q, h* B; @0 K! n
sequence shall start from 0001.1 V, ^* E) M4 `9 f3 T4 }
Section 5: a two-digit sequential number (with a leading zero if
( U. ~- J" n! m. `5 Mapplicable) to denote the extension. The sequence shall
9 j" J0 q$ |- Q4 X! xstart from 01 for each base approval number.
