Cords shall conform to the following requirements:) q; G$ x! U2 O& v7 H
a) Cords shall have a thickness (smallest dimension) of 1,5 mm or more when tested according to 8.20" y* o/ I7 y0 W" \0 V
(cord thickness). This does not apply to ribbons.
$ F# h( Q! v j( G! ~2 Db) The free length of cords (e.g. on pull-along toys) which include attachments that can form nooses shall

8 C$ [9 W; T/ z4 j% Z not exceed 220 mm when stretched by a force of (25 ± 2) N; or
8 e5 ~7 C- |/ ?) u+ C) \ _" Y when subjected to a force of (25 ± 2) N, separate into parts not exceeding 220 mm when stretched1 U2 p# P2 }( [3 x) z
by a force of (25 ± 2) N. It shall be possible to join the parts together after they have been separated
) o2 P2 W3 k7 A7 a; e" ^7 A$ swithout altering the characteristics of the joints (see Figure 10).

be measured as a part of the entire cord (see Figure 11).

e) Cords intended to be fixed across cradles, cots, perambulators etc., shall not exceed 750 mm when
; \3 M4 x0 ~8 R5 x- `stretched by a force of (25 ± 2) N, and their length under these conditions shall be not more than 40 %
