29 Resistance of Grounding Test

appliance and any other point in the grounding circuit of the appliance shall not exceed 0.1 ohms.

a) A resistance-measuring instrument; or# S9 \- Y4 j5 m) E1 h. E i7 m
b) Passing an alternating current of at least 30 amperes from a power supply of not more than" Q% P S ^; U$ I3 U
12 volts from the grounding pin of the attachment plug cap to a point in the grounding circuit,% o1 p+ h! p: S4 `7 S$ D- Z
and then measuring the resulting drop in potential between the two points. The resistance in4 B1 J C# Z1 x& z9 Z
ohms is to be determined by dividing the drop in potential in volts by the current in amperes7 A5 o9 u' r- r8 \5 w% [
passing between the two points. |
