47 Surface Marking of AWM

) m. n- ~* U5 |) n47.2 When surface marking referencing ²AWM² is used, the marking shall contain the following elements:6 l5 g6 V+ A1 q9 h+ e+ P
a) Wire/cable designation: ²AWM.²/ F/ I0 J; y+ A, b' w' W
b) Name of the organization responsible for the AWM, trade name, other applicable mark, or7 }( |7 L8 Z$ V. a
file number. When the organization responsible for the AWM produces AWM in more than one4 P" Y7 h% F2 W+ [+ g! U
location, an additional distinctive marking shall be provided that identifies the specific

Other markings such as wire size, number of conductors, and similar data, are determined to be in% {( u1 V+ Y0 n( E5 N" O; o+ c
compliance with this requirement when they are not confusing or misleading.
* I5 _. k: ^) w0 X2 t47.3 For a cable that contains a conductive polymeric shield, the jacket or marker tape shall be marked# T( ^2 I9 O: h" r
²Conductive Shield,² ²Contains Polymeric Conductive Shield,² or equivalent. |
