47.1 Surface marking is not required for appliance wiring material.( I1 \: P) T7 C7 o. l8 t: i6 p
47.2 When surface marking referencing ²AWM² is used, the marking shall contain the following elements:0 r/ \2 X J: n* Z, ^9 J
a) Wire/cable designation: ²AWM.²
7 ?& J1 |! a0 ~* M3 ]b) Name of the organization responsible for the AWM, trade name, other applicable mark, or
, {! R. y' a1 S- g: c1 rfile number. When the organization responsible for the AWM produces AWM in more than one
( G5 u) c7 M; _) y: y- olocation, an additional distinctive marking shall be provided that identifies the specific0 v0 Y* q9 a* {, j- R
manufacturing location of the AWM.! i# B# ?# R, w+ f" m7 W4 R+ x
Other markings such as wire size, number of conductors, and similar data, are determined to be in
9 J2 i+ s2 q7 i$ S0 m1 x3 J% rcompliance with this requirement when they are not confusing or misleading.. H) ?* C3 }5 H4 b
47.3 For a cable that contains a conductive polymeric shield, the jacket or marker tape shall be marked
' b0 ~9 f/ m" n; |% G²Conductive Shield,² ²Contains Polymeric Conductive Shield,² or equivalent. |
