assembled at off-site locations and intended for use as factory

K# \# j# F5 m, ~$ Lare defined as components consisting of two or more wires joined
! Y$ m& S' d: s! ?electrically and/or mechanically, and may include connectors, plugs,
/ B' c4 m4 F- n- l/ W) Dstrain reliefs, splices, etc. When assembled at an off-site location,7 D; V: n/ N/ b, b( ^
traceability for components used to construct a wiring harness is
* s$ H$ w& E/ T5 I' a- ?/ _not possible at an end-product factory location. This program can
( L) |: o2 p, Obe used to provide this traceability. Each wiring harness is normally
. r3 q) \7 u" o: m# ~5 tconstructed in accordance with a harness diagram and is generally; ~) Y0 H: \" b- g- Q' M5 K1 q
designed for a specific application that is indicated on a diagram7 j+ S& F8 s$ ?, J
or carton marking. These wiring harnesses are not intended for% G- i5 f# h* q+ l7 _2 d
field installation. An assembly consisting solely of a cord set, power9 R" H4 ^9 W/ s+ J2 l6 e8 \
supply cord or power supply cord attached to an appliance such as

An off-site fabricator assembles a wiring harness in accordance with3 m6 S) Y3 O- `6 B! e6 t$ r6 c2 E- d2 ]1 U
a harness diagram, print or other specification from an end-product
0 p- A+ s9 R" }) a' b0 Amanufacturer that details construction elements and components) a( K' m( n# U
to be used in assembling a harness. A harness manufacturer
* A& G. t0 e: l- G E& Mwill assemble a harness in accordance with these specifications

4 k# d# p+ |3 S1 c& X8 ispecifications, it may be shipped with the UL Mark. Traceability for3 l, b# }+ E" }7 _9 j% @
these construction elements is further determined at an end-product
