It will be replaced by a new version, EN 61643-11:2002 + A11:2007. This amendment is based on the new version of the IEC 61643-1:2005 (2nd. Ed). Several testing parameters have been changed in the new version.

The most important changes in the new EN 61643-11:2002 + A11:2007 standard are several new testing parameters. The thermal stability test is now carried out in smaller increments. The values for the short circuit test have been changed and the test set-up for the Temporary Over Voltage characteristic test has changed.
