As you are aware, Toys “R” Us, Inc. maintains an uncompromising commitment to product

Some of these modifications are summarized below for vendors that were not able to attend the

• If last full COC testing was conducted prior to November 1, 2008, samples will be tested to

Development Evaluation will be COC tested to global standards. (US, Canada, Europe, and

will be issued upon successful completion of this testing and the technical file; items will also

• Date coding is required for all products – product, packaging, and master carton.7 u m6 ]/ _) }' O

• Effective August 1st, 2009 all new shipments of products to Toys R Us or Babies R Us
0 Z; v0 M8 s- e# C0 ?: J$ X; NCanada must be Phthalate Compliant per Toys R Us guidelines. This standard applies to all. L B: j6 \, Y
product inclusive of brand name, country of origin, importer of record, and/or purchase order$ f( b/ P. i2 M
type.
6 n% D% A* L8 g; U- q; a• For imported items, the Phthalate compliance must be noted to receive a certificate of) ]" T- ~0 s, O4 d- E9 G1 U
compliance. On “domestic purchase orders, Toys R Us Canada will periodically request4 P p& O# \/ |" [8 `
documentation supporting the Phthalate mandate.
5 O: V8 y; ~/ Z' q* i4 H3 P: E4 V• All items within scope of AB 1108, CPSIA, or EU phthalate directive must be “P4” compliant5 t" X9 O9 p8 |0 Q
(i.e. not contain greater than 0.1% w/w of DEHP, DBP, BBP, or DnHP). Mouthable items7 D* k4 D6 A9 ^) c$ f& [
must additionally not contain <0.1% DnOP, DIDP, or DINP (“P7” compliant).! l4 x0 a. v( y/ m9 q
• Phthalates will be tested in surface coatings; also inaccessible components may be tested4 Y7 r( B$ N6 i# q
under certain circumstances.
