– symbol IEC 60417-5180 (2003-02), for class III appliances. This marking is not% s' ~) s2 P9 u4 {& W1 p

The signal words WARNING, CAUTION, DANGER if in the Latin alphabet shall be in

Uppercase letter of the text explaining the signal word shall be no smaller than 1,6 mm, with& V7 d8 H4 Z5 C5 x
other letters according to the font size of the uppercase letter.. r1 j1 I- X$ p( m
Countries that do not use the Latin alphabet need to specify the minimum size of the script to

Unless contrasting colours are used, moulded in, engraved, or stamped markings shall be! `+ O4 p( Y- {4 p# y7 o

Compliance is checked by inspection, by measurement and by rubbing the marking by hand
0 \" P+ I7 B! A9 V! Z3 P3 |for 15 s with a piece of cloth soaked with water and again for 15 s with a piece of cloth
( s  K+ J( |$ C1 bsoaked with petroleum spirit. The petroleum spirit to be used for the test is aliphatic solvent$ i. e: H: s  G* y/ D2 G
hexane.

% z4 l( J2 {5 B, x* T8.1.3 Replace the note by the following.

IEC 61058-1:2000 shall be obtained from Table 22 of IEC 61058-1:2000 using the next higher% ~% s' `1 F5 A# K- Z

. b' I& W4 z# f" z3 t+ l3 ^1 jcircuit, a single switching action may be obtained by the withdrawal of the plug from a socketoutlet.
# Q& j% W% ^' YCompliance is checked by inspection and by manual test.
' r/ _+ A, G! ?! }2 f9 l13 Leakage current and electric strength at operating temperature1 D# T# Z9 C6 t  F/ h
13.2 Replace the first paragraph by the following:( e. O* ]8 i1 D: v- {$ D- r# C
The leakage current is measured by means of the circuit described in Figure 4 of
1 h) J+ C7 D* m+ G, ~6 v; kIEC 60990:1999. For class 0I appliances and class I appliances, except parts of class II
+ W$ {5 f- R+ @, J8 gconstruction, C may be replaced by a low impedance ammeter responding to the rated9 g: M# B: c' x
frequency of the appliance.2 w# `2 o+ U! {
19 Abnormal operation
. g5 l+ G1 Z3 H$ G% l19.1 Add the following to the penultimate paragraph of the test specification:
2 Q( R4 o$ _. ?; }9 ?If the control performs more than one function, only that aspect of the control under( l3 r2 m) J2 u! o) c: U1 @
consideration is rendered inoperative. Other functions of the control may continue to operate( m' _8 b8 M4 E8 V8 b! {* Y7 v* w
normally.
! N  N; `) ?9 U$ P) ~19.7 In the third paragraph of the test specification, replace “class P2” by “class S2 or S3”.
7 s7 f2 E) u% j& T19.11.3 Replace the text of the test specification but not the note, by the following.( y+ D# q$ A& X" ^  n
If the appliance incorporates a protective electronic circuit that operates to ensure
1 `1 A" c& L' E5 Ccompliance with Clause 19, the appliance is tested as follows:
* q9 H: o% ~0 L% Q6 _, f( L+ a, [3 rA fault as indicated in a) to g) of 19.11.2 shall be incorporated in the protective electronic
  s2 F; {+ P+ U9 \% Xcircuit either before the appliance is started or at any point in time after the appliance is
# A/ f7 v+ H, `, Jstarted so that the most unfavourable conditions of the test are applied.* }9 F' u$ @. R
If the appliance is able to operate after the fault in the protective electronic circuit is5 ^8 R+ j) p$ ]5 K
incorporated, then the appliance is further tested as follows.9 R! Y7 L4 v' o: @; ~9 t
For appliances for continuous operation the appliance is operated until steady conditions are
+ ]0 U# R+ X: _3 e: z% _2 wreached. Then the relevant test of Clause 19 is repeated.( G$ ?6 I  e6 k5 E- l4 k; _
Other appliances are operated for one cycle of operation. Then the relevant test of Clause 19
) d) X, l$ d; N7 sis repeated.3 }2 ]8 }) \) O- k/ |7 o0 m
19.11.4.2 Replace the test specification but not the note, by the following:& I: {* `4 |" ^
The appliance is subjected to radiated fields in accordance with IEC 61000-4-3.
& U$ d, _- Q- H. BThe frequency ranges tested shall be:% b: r9 x+ k$ |4 D; R
– 80 MHz to 1 000 MHz, test level 3;
* j( O' i8 r% a, V– 1,4 GHz to 2,0 GHz, test level 3;
$ S$ P8 o6 b$ X4 _, I" [7 |– 2,0 GHz to 2,7 GHz, test level 2.
