4.3.2 Handles and manual controls

in normal use, if this might create a hazard. Sealing compounds and the like, other than

Compliance is checked by inspection, by manual test and by trying to remove the handle, knob,3 b$ b( l7 F& H- G% N
grip or lever by applying for 1 min an axial force as follows.
. _+ G" P0 u) K8 a. g. IIf the shape of these parts is such that an axial pull is unlikely to be applied in normal use, the
C; m4 j* V/ f6 r: F* Tforce is:
' H4 n$ t% u O: X– 15 N for the operating means of electrical components; and
5 |$ s: h& B( \/ D5 u6 Q: p– 20 N in other cases.
: V' z( `. k: \( b3 ~If the shape is such that an axial pull is likely to be applied, the force is:
* A# W& P# ]$ L, ~7 L/ k& o– 30 N for the operating means of electrical components; and' b4 _ i+ O: D0 y/ c' |9 B6 @. t
– 50 N in other cases. |
