15.2.5 The test lamp type and wattage for:

15.2.6 A luminaire shall be operated until the thermal protector trips or for a maximum of 7.5 h. If the& @. K, K! J) ]& v( c8 G
protector does not trip within 3 h, the test shall be repeated with an additional 50 mm (2 in) of thermal
$ L% P8 B: `4 W0 x) r" E4 Tinsulation, until:; B1 ~2 V3 v e: U0 f
(a) the thermal protector trips within 3 h; or4 S: I# f% C# |" p
(b) the temperature limits in Table 14.1.2 are exceeded; or

in which case the test shall be repeated with the next hotter trim installed.

(a) operates within 3 h and no part of the luminaire in contact with thermal insulation or the test
; T5 s* n5 V) hbox exceeds 160 °C; or$ m" e6 Y! ]- v( E+ `, v
(b) does not operate within 3 h and the temperature limits specified in Table 14.1.2 are not% n; N# v+ l7 R& O
exceeded during the test. Any part of the luminaire in contact with thermal insulation or the test
