J R6 n1 X$ e+ HFor the purpose of harmonic current limitation, equipment is classified as follows:

– household appliances, excluding equipment identified as class D;
# n+ }2 }* V3 M! \0 ]– tools, excluding portable tools;9 S8 X3 ~/ }( z6 K# y
– dimmers for incandescent lamps;
9 K7 S5 f9 L8 ~– audio equipment.
* j6 a, m1 g0 h" z, V6 xEquipment not specified in one of the three other classes shall be considered as class A; g) M! y- d) {" d( }

NOTE 1 Equipment that can be shown to have a significant effect on the supply system may be reclassified in a- l) g8 c# X9 n* w4 ]) ~
future edition of the standard. Factors to be taken into account include:: [# Y# J9 m! e
– number of pieces of equipment in use;

– simultaneity of use;

– harmonic spectrum, including phase.
