Question: In the horizontal safety function standard for degree of protection provided by$ V+ i* y; z# M
enclosures (IP code), IEC 60529, a description of the dust is given in subclause, i$ m9 c" E- e5 h3 Y: g( J
13.4. However, in the transformer standard the description of the dust divagate a% M; X. Z: k: M* l& C s- x
bit as the following wording is added: “and shall have a range of particle size
; g* B; g5 M. y: m" ]3 Mdown to and including 1 +m with at least 50% by weight less than 5 +m”. This& t! n" L' e; o7 K& r* s
more precise description imply that dust in the dust chamber must be changed

Decision: The horizontal safety function standard IEC 60529 shall be followed, i.e. the dust
