It is very common to use modular connectors (e.g. RJ-11, RJ-12, RJ-45), accessible to the
# N/ W. T. O: y1 E8 R5 Wusers, for a variety of transmission functions, both telecommunication and data.
4 M2 u  H; n7 N* P$ F) SUnfortunately, RJ-11 modular connectors easily mate with other configurations of modular
+ n. M6 ]7 D* [6 S% Z* r4 fconnectors: RJ-12, RJ-45. This sub-clause permits marking only for connectors accessible
# L% C' s! A5 h3 W5 j7 h6 v. P- B3 Lto Service Personnel and, on the other hand, relying on configuration as a means of
preventing miss-mating is unrealistic.

If there is a possibility of miss-mating of modular connectors (e.g. RJ-11, RJ-12 etc.)
) @- p# t, O8 X. }accessible for the user, tests have to be made to verify that the SELV limits remain.
If the voltage of the TNV-circuit is known this value is used, otherwise the test generator of
6.2.1.3 (Figure 15A) is used for testing. (See also OSM-EE Decision 98/6)
