  z9 c) i% R+ Q3 r% `) a6 Aprovided with the equipment, how should the laser safety aspects of the equipment be
$ f" W) B* @! W/ @$ vaddressed in an IECEE CB Test Report?
6 y$ P0 g! u0 y4 |Decision :
The equipment shall be investigated to IEC 60950-1 and IEC 60825-1 and –2 with
2 g- s4 \# U3 E9 Erepresentative LDMs during the Type Test investigation. The LDMs shall be described in the
List of Critical Components, but may or may not be shipped with the equipment from the
5 C+ g6 E0 |4 z  xoriginal equipment manufacturer.
1 J. T* j' B* F( b$ ]The CB Test Report for the equipment shall state the following in the General Product
Information:
a) This end product is for use with field installable LDMs not provided with the product
when shipped from the original equipment manufacturer. This end product was
evaluated with representative LDMs during the Type Test investigation.
2 q, q# O6 G) @' i9 ib) The end product with LDMs installed is required to comply with IEC 60950-1 and IEC
6 K3 s3 R$ y) Q60825-1 and –2, including any declared national differences.
* c- g% Z- l2 q! }5 Ac) The decision on certification of the end product without the LDMs rests with the
9 w5 P* E! H0 erecognizing NCB.
