; | }$ |, B& y+ X- the LED circuit shall be verified according to IEC/EN 61347-2-13 or IEC/EN L! M) l. c2 I; D1 U$ z
61347-2-11 (*) and the LED shall be tested according to IEC/EN 60825 –1" _& u* p; k: ?9 N" r; r8 r) C

- The thermal tests required in Section 12 of IEC/EN 60598-1 shall be carried

6 x4 A- A/ k3 H! x) J$ ja) Luminaires (Class I or II) with built-in control gear shall be tested
( r; T/ c' p9 {7 g5 f3 I+ I4 Naccording to the requirements of IEC/EN 60598-2-6.0 c Z' V, h/ ~. Z8 }/ B
b) For Class III luminaires the manufacturer shall provide the necessary
7 s1 x. {" ]# U* ^. q0 B; Yinformation to power up the LED circuit correctly in the instruction sheet.. I1 E% w3 \8 p
Alternatively, the manufacturer shall inform Testing Station about the
9 X8 U/ E7 h$ c1 \8 B6 g. _trade mark, the type and the technical characteristics of the appropriate5 I. |9 }. J2 P% R! e
control gear to be used. There are three different control gears namely, the
2 K' v4 z* o/ Z3 A" h8 jtype and the trade mark as indicated by the luminaire manufacturer; an$ B5 {. N- ?$ J1 B
electronic control gear clearly specified in the luminaire instruction sheet& x) W0 t: u2 M+ E& D. _! R# e
and a ferromagnetic control gear. The tests shall be carried out as required( e% d# G+ \4 h" \+ |! U3 V; z9 s
in Section 12 according to IEC/EN 60598-2-6 with the appropriate control
7 R+ ~, D2 w; a; Ggear.5 {# {3 y/ i* { M ~# n
(*) When IEC/EN 62031 (34A/1168/CDV) will be published, it will takes# P8 I1 Z# L, B/ c
over IEC/EN 61347-2-11.
