What should be the criteria for accepting a manufacturer’s declaration for
isolation systems and materials?

Decision:
" N( H7 W% H8 n  L; L# w0 GIt was agreed that although manufacturer 's declaration may well be taken into consideration,
) B1 F. c7 w4 n* D: Y' _however testing must be performed to ensure that requirements of IEC61010-1 is met.
Explanatory Notes:
/ b2 x+ d- Q1 U$ `" B  d  AIn IEC61010-1, there is no requirement to simulate the ageing process of critical components
such as the mains / isolating transformers.
- f0 a7 J% l9 r1 _+ bIt should be noted that after each single fault condition test, where necessary, the required
7 D4 x/ l9 m; h( R' X# k3 ?high voltage test must also be applied to ensure that at least basic insulation exists.
