( Y1 y' `2 s/ ]; k5 j- H- the LED circuit shall be verified according to IEC/EN 61347-2-13 or IEC/EN
; @* X6 U i1 o2 V1 q9 R8 ?61347-2-11 (*) and the LED shall be tested according to IEC/EN 60825 –1
! O& [9 R1 e( N3 X(Safety of laser products) (§)-(#), if it has laser radiation in the wavelength
0 z, a# n; X2 }+ M& L* Branging from 180 nm to 1 mm. Only LEDs classified as Class 1 lasers can be

a) Luminaires (Class I or II) with built-in control gear shall be tested

b) For Class III luminaires the manufacturer shall provide the necessary
2 N% d6 n6 L# C* J4 W, j9 |information to power up the LED circuit correctly in the instruction sheet.
: n$ s/ u F) m* S# I) zAlternatively, the manufacturer shall inform Testing Station about the( Q" |. K) k4 O5 I
trade mark, the type and the technical characteristics of the appropriate
, E+ v+ ~& \& B# v$ x% dcontrol gear to be used. There are three different control gears namely, the$ S) l* s) f1 ]' X5 i
type and the trade mark as indicated by the luminaire manufacturer; an
( |4 R/ h$ ?; t- l$ k; }% jelectronic control gear clearly specified in the luminaire instruction sheet
% {, ]7 C+ D( x5 @& Y+ j6 h: eand a ferromagnetic control gear. The tests shall be carried out as required; V% M- F6 g* k2 ^3 b0 @
in Section 12 according to IEC/EN 60598-2-6 with the appropriate control; |# L$ x+ y2 Q& q0 A- g) n* c
