- the LED circuit shall be verified according to IEC/EN 61347-2-13 or IEC/EN4 I& F" @. m$ w$ [' J6 f4 J
61347-2-11 (*) and the LED shall be tested according to IEC/EN 60825 –19 [! L: A' [+ j+ X6 _: q# P5 i
(Safety of laser products) (§)-(#), if it has laser radiation in the wavelength
: P i L7 W% L& Yranging from 180 nm to 1 mm. Only LEDs classified as Class 1 lasers can be* i$ S; A3 D1 Y4 w! i8 ^( q: K
used without problems for lighting purposes without protection.
. a5 P3 h. z4 O2 d5 |/ z- The thermal tests required in Section 12 of IEC/EN 60598-1 shall be carried

a) Luminaires (Class I or II) with built-in control gear shall be tested: H8 V" K# g6 q: i6 R
according to the requirements of IEC/EN 60598-2-6.
/ }% t. }0 t* z5 [1 gb) For Class III luminaires the manufacturer shall provide the necessary
( V9 a& o0 D- Q0 \4 T* minformation to power up the LED circuit correctly in the instruction sheet.6 @" g. [7 Q* q5 u
Alternatively, the manufacturer shall inform Testing Station about the( ]0 `- z$ ^1 |2 T
trade mark, the type and the technical characteristics of the appropriate
; z. O2 h1 |# M5 ucontrol gear to be used. There are three different control gears namely, the* N" }- K( R! q& n* t
type and the trade mark as indicated by the luminaire manufacturer; an2 s: z7 o* e9 o3 ~0 j# J9 y
electronic control gear clearly specified in the luminaire instruction sheet( R. ^; I7 g u* u, F9 ]
and a ferromagnetic control gear. The tests shall be carried out as required
8 E! H' z9 _6 O: o' y) gin Section 12 according to IEC/EN 60598-2-6 with the appropriate control& J* A& H8 N2 P8 Y# O* r8 z
