Question:
, P, j- |& ~( v: G( S* f% s% kClause 13.2 of IEC 60598-1 is applicable for tests on lighting chains, that: “for flexible pipes of sealed
chains the test of 13.2.1 is replaced by the test of clause 8 of IEC 60811-3-1”.
* ]+ n. |3 F! ?& g. {  {$ nThe standard doesn’t indicate at which temperature the test of clause 8 of IEC 60811-3-1 shall be
performed, so we have seen different positions from Test Houses for PVC sealed chains.
Decision:
The test shall be performed at the temperature measured on insulating tube during the normal heating test
+ 10°C with minimum of 80°C.
