6 z0 o- d# e0 caccessories). The unit can be used with or without a constant water flowing (in
* k0 Z/ a c3 M# h ]& c: l" paccordance with the manual instructions). What should be the temperature of
, d/ j# I' p/ M, bthe water during the thermal tests?
* u) i1 d' j, V: d1 ~0 VDecision: The applicable standard is IEC/EN 60335-1. The thermal tests have to be
! w& i' V+ y; |- ]- l: v* V1 ?carried out according to clause 11 (heating) and clause 19 (abnormal
: J$ P6 V0 p- E0 l& `conditions) of IEC/EN 60335-1. If according to the manual instructions the
3 Z* R" f: b: n: j& r0 B1 F1 j' Z0 h0 Oappliance can be used without water flowing, we have to consider this situation, u f$ r/ l7 K+ S5 ^- K
as worst case: all tests have to be performed without water flowing. At the
; h/ ?# K) I% K3 [" u! N* obeginning of the tests, the water shall be at room temperature (25°C). If the
. T8 l3 Y! p! uappliance is provided for use with water flowing only, the heating test (clause
& S' [3 d- T+ ^& c) J7 p! R11) shall be started with water at room temperature (25°C) but flowing. For the/ s* V! @: `% K9 p
abnormal conditions test (clause 19), the water flowing has to be stopped5 ^& p: I- T( o4 u* D
unless there is a monitoring circuit to switch off the appliance in case of water" w/ ~3 A$ ~ g7 @# ` ]" t9 l
flow interruption. At the beginning of the test the water shall be at room
