; K1 t: R- W5 z- the LED circuit shall be verified according to IEC/EN 61347-2-13 or IEC/EN; {. p+ m0 ?/ O! c5 w! @
61347-2-11 (*) and the LED shall be tested according to IEC/EN 60825 –1
7 `3 i( Q7 a8 r' v(Safety of laser products) (§)-(#), if it has laser radiation in the wavelength, ?" c1 H) P2 D
ranging from 180 nm to 1 mm. Only LEDs classified as Class 1 lasers can be
F5 v4 w5 v! \2 G B& S7 N6 L) u7 hused without problems for lighting purposes without protection.
0 q; P" m# K$ o( e; S; U7 J% T7 E' o/ M- The thermal tests required in Section 12 of IEC/EN 60598-1 shall be carried

according to the requirements of IEC/EN 60598-2-6.; ]. H9 s% E) c
b) For Class III luminaires the manufacturer shall provide the necessary
8 \) \9 F& z8 q6 Pinformation to power up the LED circuit correctly in the instruction sheet.5 L- h! D! p) G7 h
Alternatively, the manufacturer shall inform Testing Station about the* r0 f! N I- W
trade mark, the type and the technical characteristics of the appropriate
' g0 M: }5 J+ _) ocontrol gear to be used. There are three different control gears namely, the M. a0 S: u' y. v# d( K$ ^ @; R
type and the trade mark as indicated by the luminaire manufacturer; an6 k) I2 A; V, y8 ~( f, h/ l9 e
electronic control gear clearly specified in the luminaire instruction sheet
2 w, \5 o: E/ i7 m4 U3 Sand a ferromagnetic control gear. The tests shall be carried out as required
