11.2.1 An appliance intended for use with a detachable power-supply cord shall not be provided with
  v) A$ `& @( o3 h- J5 V9 xterminal pins that will accommodate a standard flatiron or appliance plug.
11.2.2 If an appliance is provided with pin terminals, the construction of the appliance shall be such that
live parts will not be exposed to unintentional contact both during and after normal placement of the
intended female fitting on the pins.

8 }% A9 i( i! s  Aa) A straight edge nominally 1/16 inch (1.6 mm) thick placed in any position, across and in
