HAZARDOUS LIVE parts, shall withstand surges due to transients, caused for example by
: u2 a& A% o; g% K7 i. othunderstorms and entering the apparatus through the antenna TERMINAL.

The insulation between; k8 \4 p' Y, T" o# Z8 ^* y0 \% v
– TERMINALS for the connection of antenna and MAINS supply TERMINALS,
G2 A5 u8 P( Y# B- ?) t/ c) ~and between
4 g& q! R k3 r$ V* N– MAINS supply TERMINALS and any other TERMINAL in case of apparatus providing supply
9 N" B/ Y. D9 ^+ N- Jvoltages to other apparatus with antenna TERMINALS,' @9 n8 |/ h F/ H$ D8 \/ j3 n
is subjected to 50 discharges at a maximum rate of 12/min, from a 1 nF capacitor charged to
, O2 @, y1 \& T' m# H10 kV in a test circuit, as shown in Figure 5a.3 E2 Q! D5 d& z0 R, ]% F
NOTE During this test, the apparatus should not be energized.
# \: e& S; S6 J* L( n: a6 z& O/ ]After the test, the tested insulation shall comply with the requirements of 10.3.
