Interpretation
In Clause:

The contactor, starter, or the combination starter, the combination switching device, the
protected starter or the protected switching device, shall be considered to have passed the
! C) v$ ~& o: T  Etests at the prospective current "r" and, where applicable, the prospective current Iq, if the
8 u& F/ U8 C0 i# T- X+ T( q9 j9 yfollowing conditions are met for the claimed type of co-ordination.
3 X' |+ d; K+ LType "2" co-ordination (all devices):
7 n$ q  D2 g* M& T# R8 m. z5 @( O. [J No damage to the overload relay or other parts has occurred, except that welding of
  d( B- S# E8 Y& [' J0 rcontactor or starter contacts is permitted, if they are easily separated (e.g. by a
- H- I/ |9 k' ?screwdriver) without significant deformation, but no replacement of parts is permitted
1 G2 _& w4 T$ [3 O3 x+ {during the test, except that, in the case of fuse protection, all fuse-links shall be replaced.
3 O1 q0 D! Y! ~' j+ `% KIn the case of welded contacts as described above, the functionality of the device shall
6 b+ S  \7 I! I. D* ebe verified by carrying out 10 operating cycles under the conditions of Table 8 for the
applicable utilization category.
: u; @& p% W3 ^8 w2 MThe text "if they are easily separated (e.g. by a screwdriver) without significant deformation"

"Easily separated" means a separation realised on site for example by:
$ N* j! C6 n0 N- Energizing the coil of the contactor
9 I. B: S. z1 O) x% x$ Z7 s; T! W1 J- Using a tool (eg. a screwdriver) for separating the welded contact or for moving an operating
0 |& f, z  k' ]1 m2 w+ h4 ~means.
It is also allowed to remove covers or housing of the contactor according to the instruction of
( I4 ?2 G" N7 C% b2 [/ Q4 F! Dthe manufacturer.
"Without significant deformation" means a deformation without impairing the insulation of the
7 w) y% T% j3 L: l1 `, icontactor (see d) and i) of this Clause) and successfully performing the 10 operation cycle
