In Clause:

protected starter or the protected switching device, shall be considered to have passed the
; U5 ]" u7 h5 [4 A4 \8 stests at the prospective current "r" and, where applicable, the prospective current Iq, if the( C7 K+ W8 p8 o- K5 v) H! }
following conditions are met for the claimed type of co-ordination.

J No damage to the overload relay or other parts has occurred, except that welding of
# N. `% }4 X" G! gcontactor or starter contacts is permitted, if they are easily separated (e.g. by a
( G8 X% M" i6 J$ X, {screwdriver) without significant deformation, but no replacement of parts is permitted8 F& ]4 b8 s5 Z3 Y/ t
during the test, except that, in the case of fuse protection, all fuse-links shall be replaced.* Z: F& e9 G: e, {
In the case of welded contacts as described above, the functionality of the device shall9 z% W% u8 u% I' N. ?4 ?7 j, p
be verified by carrying out 10 operating cycles under the conditions of Table 8 for the

The text "if they are easily separated (e.g. by a screwdriver) without significant deformation"

' Q' G) F( {3 u, a9 E* k; l' ?"Easily separated" means a separation realised on site for example by:- C) {7 N, S7 d* }3 F" U
- Energizing the coil of the contactor
+ E# Y$ Q$ K- \# I& f8 `- Using a tool (eg. a screwdriver) for separating the welded contact or for moving an operating
. W3 t% M0 n0 N/ `+ jmeans.
; n# {! R( `8 D$ u/ v2 V, _It is also allowed to remove covers or housing of the contactor according to the instruction of' y! \+ R% m4 Z R x
