Can symbols 9 and 10 of Table 1 (0,1) be used for any other purpose than mains
disconnection?

. J- {; N  U8 z7 B6 v' n# p. jThe standard states these symbols are reserved for mains disconnection devices, the symbols
should therefore, be used only for this purpose. However, these symbols are allowed for
( Z% B% A1 S4 jother use in other IEC standards and some Test laboratories therefore, exercise discretion on
this matter provided the mains separation device is clearly indicated either on the unit or in
