Pls focus on:
1. All test equipments must be calibrated at regulated intervals,if applicable;
3 [& A5 S& h9 F" ^+ y' f6 u" s2. And all the calibration can be traced to CNAS level. At this time, some guys may say it's so easy, just send this kind of equipments to a third calibration party, then that's OK. But I still wanna say, first, not all the third calibration parties have the CNAS authorities, secondly, even if they have the CNAS authorities, but that does not mean, all their businesses are covered by the CNAS, so pls check it before you send the equipments to do the calibration work.

Normally, UL has no requirements about the specification of the test equipments if the equipments can finish the required tests, that's ok, so what you really need to prepare is that you must know the test requirements and how to do the tests, study the related standards, or it's much better to know why the tests are needed and what's the objects of the tests....

Yes, UL1581 is also for Wire and cable, and every test equipment has its own specification, such as the spark tests on the production line for the wire and cable, there are some requirements , such as the diameter of the beads and the distance between the beads, but normally, most of the spark tester have the similar specification, so as a certification and testing engineer, what you should focus on is the corresponding product standards, you must know the test requirements and some other things...
