% J2 b0 U/ D: i1 E( q6 U$ SAnnex R of 60947-1, subclause R.2.2, gives instructions for the geometrical zones,
where the metal foil shall be applied. The examples in Figure R.3 have often been a
cause for discussions between test laboratory and customer as to which surfaces
shall be covered and whether or not the foil may come in contact with hazardous-liveparts
(e.g. terminals and connected conductors) located in these zones.
The text of R.2.2 clearly states that all surfaces within the defined safety zones shall
