UL Testing
UL tests your samples of products according to the relevant UL Standards and test requirements.  Upon the completion of product testing, we will issue a test report with detailed test results.

NoC
UL will issue a Notice of Completion (NoC) and a Test Report to the applicant after testing has been performed.

Initial Production Inspection (IPI)
UL will conduct an inspection on the first production run of a product, ensuring the manufacturer of a Listed (or other) product is producing the relevant product in accordance with the requirements of UL's Follow-Up Service (FUS)  Procedure.  The inspection is called Initial Production Inspection (IPI) and is a part of the FUS program.

NoA
If the client needs not to go through the IPI, he or she will receive a Notice of Authorization (NoA).  NOA is a UL's authorization to expedite the client's use of the UL Mark on products that comply with the applicable requirements for UL certification.
如果申请厂商不需要首次厂检，他（她）将会收到一个NOA（授权通知）。NOA是加速申请厂商在产品上使用UL标签的一个授权，这是符合UL证书适当的要求.
Non-Compliance Situation
If the product does not meet the relevant UL's requirements, we will send you a detailed report describing the test results or construction features that did not comply.  Our staff will be happy to discuss with you any questions you may have about the results of our investigation.

You may need to modify the product to bring it into compliance with UL's requirements. When the modifications have been made, you may contact UL to arrange for any re-testing or re-examination that will be needed.  You will also need to provide UL with a description of the modifications made to the product along with samples of the modified product.  After reviewing the changes that were made, UL can give you an estimate of any additional charges that will be necessary in order to re-test and re-examine the product.

LVD Directive of Low Voltage Electrical Equipment 电气设备低电压指令。
为了规范欧盟各成员国对低电压电气设备的管理，使欧盟各成员国关于低电压电气设备的法规协调一致，1973年2月19日欧共体理事会颁布了“关于协调各成员国用于特定电压（低电压）范围内电气设备的法规指令73/23/EEC”1933年7月22日经由欧盟理事会修订，将加贴和使用CE合格标志规定的决定（93/465/EEC）的内容纳入该指令。
低电压设备指令适用于工作（输入）电压在AC50V~1000V，或者直流不超过75~1500V的电气产品。指令规定了基本的电气安全要求。
