– ordinary polychloroprene sheathed flexible cord (code designation 60245 IEC 57);
) T+ `' j6 ]& A/ ]( A6 }$ E6 X4 O– ordinary tough rubber sheathed cord (code designation 60245 IEC 53);
9 V) S. O; i, Z0 O4 f1 }– flat twin tinsel cord (code designation 60227 IEC 41), if allowed in the relevant part 2;
( m0 T& x. }1 c5 v M9 a; C. j– light polyvinyl chloride sheathed cord (code designation 60227 IEC 52), for appliances) M$ {, j V m* M: C# m
having a mass not exceeding 3 kg;& l7 c; N5 f1 V7 ^# S+ g) O% p5 d
– ordinary polyvinyl chloride sheathed cord (code designation 60227 IEC 53), for appliances
8 W# f! ^: [) E9 ^having a mass exceeding 3 kg.2 a3 |9 }/ j# \) X- L8 ~1 D* m K
When supply cords having high flexibility are used, they shall not be lighter than) I9 e' Z: E5 D' W& o. y. X. j
– rubber insulated and sheathed cord (code designation 60245 IEC 86);$ B8 v: `4 V1 ~
– rubber insulated, crosslinked PVC sheathed cord (code designation 60245 IEC 87);
: N0 }: i8 e1 k$ c+ l; O1 v( S– crosslinked PVC insulated and sheathed cord (code designation 60245 IEC 88).
" f/ v8 E+ @$ k: VNOTE A lower number in the code designation of the cord in IEC 60227 or IEC 60245 indicates a lighter type.5 s# F% t7 `7 J* [
NOTE Z1 The harmonized code designations corresponding to the IEC cord types are given in Annex ZD.
( E q8 @+ z/ Y6 |8 IPolyvinyl chloride sheathed cords shall not be used for appliances if the temperature rise of
, W" c: I" g/ {6 m" M2 pexternal metal parts exceeds 75 K during the test of clause 11. However, they may be used if( O2 k+ i' `# K) l0 j+ @! d% i% Y/ A
– the appliance is constructed so that the supply cord is not likely to touch such metal parts
# l: F! a8 H6 q% Q: cin normal use;% R+ i! d* X% `3 V
– the supply cord is appropriate for higher temperatures. In this case, type Y attachment4 s* A7 t2 A; J) q7 r1 y
or type Z attachment shall be used.
