- j [2 E, M& E | The Land of Nod Recalls Children抯 Canopies Due to Entrapment and Strangulation Hazards
9 [6 ]2 |9 {- M/ T+ B; V/ |1 E: O3 gWASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed.

8 v/ ^' W$ s$ x) GHazard: A child抯 head could get entrapped in the canopy抯 window openings, posing entrapment and strangulation hazards., H1 ~! l# H/ _6 U4 D' W
Incidents/Injuries: The firm has received two reports of a child抯 head becoming caught in the canopy抯 window openings. No injuries have been reported.
" s; q# b! h8 b4 [6 QDescription: The recalled canopies involve the 揌ome Sweet Playhome?model made of 100% cotton gingham fabric draped from a bamboo hoop which is suspended from the ceiling to create a cylindrical play space measuring 36 inches wide and 9 feet tall. The canopies have an open bottom, a 揹oor?and three multi-paned 搘indows.?They were sold in blue and pink. 揌ome Sweet Playhome?canopies sold after October 2005 are not included in this recall. 揟he Land of Nod?is printed on a woven label on the canopy.8 M1 q4 w: I& |! u, r/ \8 ~) s0 }# R
Sold at: The Land of Nod catalog, Web site www.landofnod.com, and at The Land of Nod stores in Illinois and Washington state from September 2003 through October 2005 for about $100 for the canopy and $139 for the canopy and cushion set.

Remedy: Consumers should immediately stop using the canopies and take them away from children. Contact the Land of Nod to receive a free replacement fabric portion of the canopy and a $15 gift card.. z* d7 l4 Y% v2 b
