美规电源线不可小于18AWG，内部线在一定条件下可以小于18AWG，请问附图内的文字如何理解？谢谢！！

导线若小于18AWG者, 则可用于内部使用, 但需要被妥当的放置予安全且牢固的外壳内之方式, 并且能提供短路及不正常作工测试如测试131A所提及.

131A Conductor Short Circuit and Abnormal Operation Test

accordance with 131A.2 and 131A.3. Compliance criteria is described in 131A.4.

131A.2 Test method – short circuit
7 A( D. w: J9 Q131A.2.1 For the short circuit test, three samples are to be mounted as intended, draped with
cheesecloth, and then a short circuit condition is to be introduced to simulate a line to neutral fault. The short should be located in the farthest series string to provide the maximum lead resistance.

131A.2.2 The test is to be conducted:

b) 7 hours, when temperatures and current levels are being monitored and show no changes

c) 72 hours have transpired with no visual change, such as discoloration or distortion.
131A.3 Test method – abnormal operation

The bypassed lamp is to be located in the closest series string to provide the least lead resistance.
