How are heating tests performed for an appliance which in accordance to the manufacturer’s instructions may be used at high temperature, for example 45 °C.9 m$ {9 c: x6 z; Y

If a manufacturer declares an ambient temperature exceeding 25oC, all the heating tests shall be conducted at an ambient temperature of 23± 2 oC. The allowable temperature rise shall be reduced by the difference between the declared temperature and 25 oC. This decision is based on the note 2 of Table 3, clause 11 of IEC 60335-1.) e% ^2 _* J; {4 I6 q. K
