Part to be measured for the temperature of insulation of the supply cord

Table 3 of 11 and Table 9 of 19

60335-1(ed.4)

Question: What part should be measured for determining the temperature rise required for “Insulation of the supply cord” in Table 3 and 9 of Clause 11 and 19 respectively in the following drawing?
Decision:
P1 shall be measured for the test of Clause 11 at the point of entranceway (separation point) of the supply cord inside the appliance.
For the test of Clause 19, also P1 shall be measured however, it shall be highestpoint of temperature closest to the external surface of the appliance.
