Question:
L- V& G+ \, Q( |- m' R2 Y7 `As stated in the 5th paragraph of clause 3.1.9 of IEC50335-2-55, "Heaters are operated in a sufficient quantity of water to maintain the water temperature between 20ºC and 25ºC without the thermostat cycling." In the case of a heater in which the thermostat cycles independently of its regulation and of the water temperature, the above test conditions will not be possible to obtain." |5 U4 q( F J/ Y

Decision:
/ ?4 F8 x5 ^, G6 R8 Q6 nIf there is any kind of temperature sensing for cycling, then it should be prevented from cycling per clause 11. Sub-clause 19.4 may be covered in this construction. But if the cycling does not rely on the temperature of the water (energy regulator or similar) the cycling means are allowed to operate in clause 11 and shall be short-circuited in sub-clause 19.4.
