when printed wiring boards are assembled remotely from an endproduct

components is a concern. It is intended to address traceability of a$ n& M0 b: T; U% m" v
UL Recognized board and/or components only. All other aspects of
$ n5 r1 G8 t. W$ X/ m6 Tdesign, spacings, etc., are evaluated as part of the UL investigation1 E! F, ~/ Y; w; M" O

An assembler is required to keep records to trace the identity of all
/ W: e& y7 J) v5 s( `6 }9 p8 gmaterials and components from receipt through storage, inventory,4 P* q# l2 X, A4 P* y
withdrawal, assembly, packaging and shipping. Printed wiring% _" ~2 @/ j- `) c
assemblies covered under the category ZPVI2 are identified by an
: I( Q( w* Z! h3 b/ gassembler’s name and UL code designation on a part, shipping' c2 ]9 `: g! N* A( k6 ?' I+ F
container or included specification sheet. Relevant material and
/ l8 k3 w# ^5 q8 a, gcomponent manufacturer name and type designations are marked" X [8 l7 S! H0 n
on a part, shipping container or accompanying documentation. In8 Y, O0 m+ k6 m& e* F
addition, assemblies covered under this program will also bear the
