aux rayonnements UV des matériaux tels que les polymères et les revêtements de protection.
! {( ]$ F# C' k" U: p! |# QLe présent essai a pour but de déterminer l'aptitude du module à supporter l'exposition aux

exposed to ultra-violet (UV) radiation. This test is useful for evaluating the UV resistance of

; m/ P0 B) C5 nand ensure that, at wavelengths between 280 nm and 400 nm, the test spectral irradiance/ S2 c4 z9 V, j  _. l) w" ]$ E
is never more than 5 times the corresponding standard spectral irradiance specified in the9 J: ?# e7 g2 S! |& |/ p
standard AM 1,5 solar irradiance distribution given by table 1 of IEC 60904-3, that there is
% f  e/ f$ }) C, f- B4 Eno appreciable irradiance at wavelengths below 280 nm and that it has a uniformity of

b) Mount the module in the test plane at the location selected in a) with the front side normal

Selection of a UV light source is based on its ability to meet the spectral requirements of this

QUV-B lamps have a spectral range from 280 nm to 315 nm. The only drawback with this light& @$ b4 Y( e) k7 ]* v. N0 V
source is the fact that almost all of the irradiance will be at the high energy end of the specified- ~  D2 @% c1 u2 m
irradiance range. A combination of QUV-B and QUV-A fluorescent lamps may be used to0 o6 c( _0 c+ w  ~0 S5 B( w6 }
provide the required irradiation in the specified ranges.. e1 ~1 u! F- T9 p& M  P
A.2 Filtered xenon
2 S7 o: i: [6 q, w/ AThe spectral irradiance of a filtered xenon lamp in the UV-visible range most closely resembles1 d" M$ |* q3 y3 j$ {9 k  {* {
the spectrum of natural sunlight, especially in the wavelengths from 280 nm to 320 nm.: \: `8 H% V0 x% Q4 q
Because xenon reproduces all of the solar spectrum, it has more energy in the wavelength
# M5 x9 j( O1 i& {4 c8 ^bracket ranging from 320 nm to 400 nm than the test specifies. To achieve a total irradiation of

between 280 nm and 400 nm.

mainly UVA and UVB. Special quartz glass shall be used to absorb the UVC radiation. This is
