4.2.4.1 Sample selection and number of specimens, }4 w8 R( L2 ?8 q0 y
Samples shall be taken from a wire, cable or cord, finished or during manufacture, at any time following
) M Z8 I1 D& \8 v: Q- U4 m! Scuring of the compound, where applicable.1 N7 Y& V* s. p. x6 r
A minimum of six specimens per sample shall be tested ²as received² and after accelerated aging or liquid
" S* O3 f, Y' G' V& A+ L! _immersion. If the specimen breaks outside of the gauge marks or the grips of the mechanical9 z h2 w6 Z2 I( L6 ~
extensometer at a value below that specified as the acceptable minimum, the test results shall be
$ V4 ~# J4 m9 V! J- ~; Hdisregarded and the test shall be repeated with another specimen.
