4.10.1 For metal encased class II luminaires, contact between:

shall be effectively prevented.

This wiring includes internal and external wiring of the luminaire, and fixed wiring of the1 t9 U+ J" l" k' s; a

+ z3 J$ k; T" L% e# e% H: TClass II fixed luminaires shall be so designed that the required degree of protection against
/ {6 d. O7 T U$ f% Aelectric shock is not impaired as a result of the installation of the luminaire, for example by m. K' H; r9 y1 X; V9 J8 x# I
contact with metal conduits or metal sheaths of cables.
3 g5 ^. R4 P( e& SCapacitors shall not be connected between live parts and the body of metal encased class II
) q: e. z6 s! s' U. ~0 D9 [, l6 yluminaires, with the exception of interference suppression capacitors and switches meeting the
$ H S, |% G! a0 w" `5 G/ drequirements of 4.8.
; l) E; {) u+ ^7 o3 _The interference suppression capacitors shall comply with the requirements of IEC 60384-14# s* s4 c! C& W8 [5 \
and the method of their connection shall be in accordance with 8.6 of IEC 60065.
