UL1005 has been withdrawn and replaced by UL 60335-2-3

Underwriters Laboratories Inc. announces that the Standard for Electric Flatirons, UL 1005 has been
withdrawn and replaced by the Standard for Safety of Household and Similar Electrical Appliances, Part
2: Particular Requirements for Electric Irons, UL 60335-2-3.
Current paid subscribers of UL’s Standards Service for UL 1005 will have the unused portion of their
subscriptions transferred to a subscription to UL 60335-2-3. The document will be available in your Web
Delivery Library; you will also have access to future Work Areas in UL’s Collaborative Standards
Development System (CSDS).
Complimentary subscriptions for UL 1005 have been discontinued. Those interested in a paid
subscription to UL 60335-2-3 are asked to contact Comm 2000 at 1-888-UL33503.
