In fact, there is a loophole in EN60950-1 because it calls up a classification standard which is not applicable to the LED. Perhaps, your lab also does not know that the latest version of IEC60825-1 has not covered the LED.

' o' ?$ D- Y/ e8 v! s sFor the old version IEC60825-1, the LED optical radiation will be measured over the wide range of wavelengths. Then, the result of its optical radiation is compared with Table 1 of IEC60825-1 to determine the CLASS of a LED.

$ h3 U; E0 \" IAny way, the component specification will have the CLASS information of LED according to IEC60825-1. Instead of getting the tests by yourself, you have better asking your LED supplier to provide you such the above specification. |
