关于 PART 1508 婴儿童床标准的疑问

PART 1508—REQUIREMENTS FOR FULL-SIZE BABY CRIBS
§ 1508.7 Construction and finishing.
(c) Crib end panels and sides or any attachment thereto shall have no horizontal bar, ledge, projection, or other surface accessible to a child inside the crib capable of being used as a toehold located less than 51 centimeters (20 inches) above the mattress support in its lowest position when the side rail is in its highest position, except the lower horizontal bar of the crib rail may have a vertical dimension that extends no higher than 7.6 centimeters (3 inches) above the mattress support in its lowest position.

In no case will any gap between the top surface of the mattress support and the bottom of the lower horizontal rail be permitted.

For the purposes of this paragraph, any ledge or projection with a depth dimension greater than 1 centimeter (3/8 inch) shall constitute a toehold.

高手请指教：
脚踏突出物的判断
是不是说床垫20 in下（豁免3 in高度以下的），有突出1 cm的平面就是当作脚踏突出物，就Fail ？
那对这个突出物的宽度有没有要求，多宽才算？
请那位兄弟，发表一下这点要求的个人见解，thanks much

主要是指伸出它的垂直表面的长度不能大过1cm，宽度没有要求。只要是垂直突出超过1cm就是fail的。（只要小孩子的脚能踩上去的就fail）

我公司的一款新产品，
床垫可以调节高度，当调节到最低时，栏杆上有个支承杆突出，大概突出2cm宽度1.3mm，床垫在上层时做支撑使用。
那么这个突出，按照16CFR测试，难道Fail？
觉得不合情理（这么窄，小孩子不可能踏上去），而且产品很难改进。

这个我们还是会fail的，1.3cm已经够宽了。
小孩子的能力是很强的，只要能用脚踩上去他就敢爬。
要不你拍张相片传上来看看可以怎么改吧。

当床垫调节到下面的位置时，现在支撑床垫的部件就突出

如果fail的话，不好改，功能都没有了。

右面的那边，是可以打开的，中间有一条横杆
栏杆之间宽大概5.5cm，这个不是突出物，
但是小孩更加容易通过踩踏此位置，爬出来，
请问要怎么评估啊？

This foothold test method is different from EN 716

EN716 includes a requirement of the distance from toprail to foothold, and determine if real foothold.

but 16 CFR has no this requirement, WHY? It's not reasonable.
